Patchwork reflects the forms carved out of the landscape by agriculture. I'm always fascinated by the sculptural mix of fields that surround my home which are planted with ever changing colours of crop and slashed through with lines created by machinery. This imagery is not faithfully recreated on my canvasses, rather it is evoked by a jigsaw of encrusted layers.
